Two blokes, one standard

Direct Flooring Solutions is Daniel Lackenby and Todd Heyer. We are based in Mount Barker and we cover the Adelaide Hills, the Fleurieu and greater Adelaide.

There is no showroom, no sales team and no call centre. When you ring, you get one of us. When we quote, one of us comes out. When the floor goes down, one of us is running the job. Whatever we tell you on the phone is what actually happens on site, because there is nobody in between to lose it.

We do the whole job. Old floor out and gone, subfloor properly assessed and prepared, new floor in, trims and scotia finished, place left clean. If something needs doing that we did not quote for, you hear about it before we do it, not after.

How it started

Why we come to you

We have been mates for more than fifteen years, long before we went into business together.

Todd worked as a manager for a flooring retailer. Daniel was a commercial sales manager in business supplies. Different jobs, but we kept coming back to the same idea. Choosing a floor should start in the room it is going into.

So that is how we set the business up. We come to you. You show us around and walk us through what you have in mind, and we see the house the way you actually live in it. Where the light comes in. Which rooms take the traffic. You look at the samples on your own floor, and we work out together what suits. It is the part of the job we enjoy most, and it is where the good decisions get made.

Then there is the end of the job. The room is finished and you walk into it for the first time. Getting to see that with you is a big part of why we do this.
